ranks as one of the most eminent artists of modern times. He was born
in 1933 in the little Italian town of Biella. Since then, he has
excelled as an artist. His works have redefined conceptual art. He has
also played a leading role in furthering the popularity of Arte Povera. One of his most outstanding creations remains The Mirror of Judgment. It was on display at one of London’s most famous art spaces, the Serpentine Gallery.
Like the crooked man who lived in a crooked house, it was the characterful, not to say skew-whiff, nature of the house that first drew him there: ‘It works quite well with the higgledy-piggledy of my collecting.’
